The NPP government
keeps its promises to enable Ghanaians to travel stress-free.
In addition to
shortening the processing time for acquiring passports, the government has
increased the validity of Ghanaian passports from 5 to 10 years.
Secretary of State
Shirley Botchwey today signed a visa-free travel policy with the United States
on behalf of all Ghanaians.
Under this new
policy, Ghanaian passport holders without a criminal record can travel to the
United States for only 30 days without a visa.
The satirist attache
at the embassy, dr. Baffour Gyawu (Mphil, Phd) told the attending press that
the only document required to board a plane to the US is a valid passport and a
police approval certificate.
"Traffic
violations are considered criminal," he added.
