The FIFA
Best honor ceremony, to be held in Milan on September 21, has been withdrawn due to the
coronavirus emergency, the World Football Association certified on Friday.
It is vague
whether or when the ceremony will be redone. A FIFA delegate said "the
results and decision are being thought of".
Lionel Messi
and Megan Rapinoe won the best of the male and female category separately a
year back. The pair was also honored at the Ballon d'Or 2019..
Milan and
Lombardy is the focal point of the Italian Coronavirus crisis, one of the most
noticeably and terrible in Europe as regards
to deaths and infections.
