Francisco Barajah, a Mozambican pastor, has died after fasting for 40 days, in his attempt to copy Jesus Christ who according to the Bible fasted for 40 days.
Santa Trindade Evangelical Church in Manica central province was founded by him.
Francis Baraja died while receiving treatment at a hospital in Beira on Wednesday after his condition deteriorated, BBC News reported.

He was taken to the hospital by his relations who were upset that he'd lost so important weight after fasting for 25 days and could no longer stand or walk.
He, still, died before he could be revived.
His followers and neighbors are said to be unfazed by the turn of events, due to his excessive weight loss and disfigurement in the last days of his life.
